Sport does not wait for the gallery. The camera has to be in the right place before anything happens.

About the project

In a sports broadcast there is no second take. I walked the venue beforehand, agreed with the judges and the organiser where the cameras were allowed to shoot, and set up the gallery so the picture reached the viewer without delay.

The broadcast ran live, results and names ran as graphics over the picture, and the moments that mattered got a replay right after the attempt.

By the end of the day the organiser had the full recording and short clips ready to use on social media.
